Marriage See Husband's Notes for further details. Obituary CRASTER, Jennifer November 11, 1929 - December 1, 2013 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jennifer Craster. Jennifer leaves behind her daughter Carol Walters, son-in-law Darcy, and grandchildren Jenna and Myles of Courtenay. She is predeceased by husband Charlie, daughters Anne and Janie, and siblings John-Martyn and Prue. Born in Kent, UK, Jennifer immigrated to Canada in 1953 and married Charlie in 1954. Together, they lived in Vancouver for nearly forty years. Many guests were greeted at their cottage in Point Roberts with the words, "Lovely to see you. I hope you can stay for dinner." After meeting their second grandchild for the first time in - Courtenay, Charlie and Jennifer moved to "' Qualicum Beach. A few years after Charlie passed away, Jennifer moved to the Comox Valley. A service will be held at 1pm Saturday, December 14 at the Comox Pentecostal Church, 1919 , Guthrie Road. Comox, B.C. 250-248-5859. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of your choice. The Rev. Canon Frederic Pike officiated. The bride chose a dress of white brocade, the skirt falling into a graceful train. Her bouquet was poinsettias. Leonard Crookston gave the bride away. Miss Carroll Butler was bride's attendant, her striking ballet-length red velvet frock enhanced by a bouquet of white poinsettias. John Barclay was best man and Peter Butler and Bill Mc- Carter were ushers. A reception followed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Crookston, Torquay Drive. Toast to the bride was proposed by Frances Filleul. "Fourways," Cadboro Bay will be the home of Mr. and Mrs. Craster on return next week from their wedding trip to San Francisco. Born December 8th, 1915 in Lavington, B.C. and passed away peacefully at his home in Qualicum Beach on October 4th, 2001 in his 66th year. Charles will be sadly missed by his loving family; his wife of 4 years, Jennifer, and daughter, Carol (Darcy Walters) and grandchildren Jenna and Myles of Courtenay, B.C. He is also survived by his nephew Michael (Olivia) Craster of Richmond, B.C. and his niece Wendy (Ralph Barker) of North Battleford, Sask. and their families, Daughters Anne and Jane predeceased Charles. Charles graduated from U B C. with a B. Com. in 1938. He served overseas with the R.C.A. during W.W.II, became a Chartered Accountant and spent most of his years in Vancouver. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Mark's Anglican Church, corner of Memorial and Hoylake Rd., Qualicum Beach, B.C.
